Board Member
We are seeking an organized and communicative volunteer to join our board . You will be the administrative backbone of our foundation, ensuring smooth governance, clear communication, and compliance with Dutch legal requirements. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a community that is shaping the future of women in digital careers across Europe.
Key Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate board meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and logistics

Maintain accurate records of board decisions, resolutions, and official foundation documents

Ensure compliance with Dutch foundation law, including maintaining the foundation's register and filing requirements with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK)

Manage official correspondence with government bodies, stakeholders, and partner organizations

Coordinate the public and private sector partnerships for funding the Stichting
-
Maintain the foundation's document management system and archive

Support communication between board members and ensure timely information flow

Track board decisions and ensure follow-through on action items

Assist with preparation of policy documents, guidelines, and internal procedures
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:

Preference for Dutch language proficiency and knowledge of the Dutch market

Understanding of Dutch foundation governance and legal requirements for Stichtingen

Experience with running programs like Mentoring, Role model etc spanning months with the knowledge of digital platforms for management.

Proficiency with digital collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace)

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Proactive approach and ability to work independently
Desired Qualities:

Previous experience as a secretary or in governance roles, preferably with non-profit organizations or Stichtingen

Knowledge of ANBI requirements and non-profit governance best practices

Background in legal, administrative, or governance fields

Background in fund raising and corporate partnerships

Passion for diversity, inclusion, and women's empowerment in technology

Network within the Dutch non-profit and community sector

Experience working with diverse, international teams
Time Commitment
-
Approximately 4 hours per month on average
-
Monthly board meetings (2 hours, can be virtual or in-person)

Additional time for meeting preparation, minutes, and administrative tasks
-
Increased time commitment during annual reporting periods and statutory filings
-
Minimum commitment: 1 year
